The symptoms of kidney stones are sometimes left unnoticed and may go undetected. They can pass out in the urinary tract without you knowing it. This is true for stones that are smaller in size however for some other situations, the stone condition can give you a feeling of pain and discomfort, thus it is necessary to know the symptoms to prevent it from happening to you in the future.
Symptoms of kidney stones can appear when the stone gets stuck in your kidneys, it moves down to the ureter and causes further infections. Usually an intense pain at the lower or side area in the abdomen is the main symptoms of this condition which usually lasts for a long time if left untreated. A stone sufferer may also experience a feeling of restlessness and unable to sleep. Some even get chills, fevers and may have a feeling of nausea.
Other serious symptoms that this condition can give are a blood appearance in the urine, where it is often cloudy or a smelly, burning sensation during the urine passage and a frequent urination. These can be all disturbing to your daily activities.
Sometimes when the ureter gets blocked from this kind of condition, an infection can occur because the waste products cannot pass through and bacteria may accumulate later on. When this happens other symptoms can be manifested such as a more intense pain at the lower side of the back, fever with a temperature of 38°C and higher, chilling and shivering, nausea, vomiting and even diarrhea.
These symptoms of kidney stones may go unnoticed but then if the condition is quite serious it can really cause a major problem to your health and may hinder you from doing your normal daily activities until cured. It is much wiser to treat this condition as early as possible and live a healthy lifestyle to lessen the chance of developing stones in the future.
